Robert Skuta, of Pinconning, Michigan passed away suddenly Tuesday May 15, 2012 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Pinconning, Michigan on June 6, 1933 to the late Joseph and Mary (Hribek) Skuta. Robert served in the Army during the Korean War. He served from 1953 - 1955. Robert married his loving wife the former Marcella Pickvet on November 26, 1955 and she survives him. Robert retired from V-8 engine plant in Flint, Michigan after 30 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling, but most of all spending time with his family and close friends. Surviving besides his wife of 56 years, are their children: Robert Skuta and his special companion Melinda Kowalczyk, Carolyn Skuta. Three grandchildren: Jennifer Skuta, Jamie (Kenneth) Shelagowski and Jacquelyn (Steven) Shelagowski. Five great-grandchildren: Logan, Lexi, Leah, Alexander, and Colton. Three brothers: Jerald Skuta, Joseph (Elizabeth) Skuta, and Donald (Linda) Skuta, and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Robert was predeceased by a daughter Susan. As per Roberts request Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his life led by Deacon Gary Patelski will be held Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Kawkawlin Township Hall at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Come and Celebrate his life with us.
