Mr. Stegman passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. Age 90 years. The son of the late Otto and Iva (Donaldson) Stegman was born June 14, 1930 in Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Stegman was a faithful member of New Life Missionary Church, served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and loved hunting and fishing. He resided at Charter Senior Living for the past four years where the family would like to give a special thank you to the staff for their compassion and care. Family was the most important part of his life, words cannot express what a wonderful person he was, and he would do anything for anyone, he had a kind and gentle spirit that will be truly missed.
Mr. Stegman is survived by his two daughters, Pam (Edward) Stanolis and Cindy (Bill Anderson) Janowiak; four grandchildren, Ryan Mechling, Angela (Mike) McCullen, Jason (Katie Brandow) Janowiak, April (Larry) Boggs; three great grandchildren, Brendon McCullen and Jacie and Caelan Janowiak; one sister-in-law, Joyce Eagling and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Ilene Stegman; sister, Dorothy Kemmer and two brothers-in-law, Robert Kemmer and Arnold Eagling.
At the request of Mr. Stegman a private interment will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
