Russell F. Hadd Jr. "Russ" Bay City, Michigan Mr. Hadd passed away late Thursday evening November 26, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 69 years. The son of the late Russell and Eileen (Gillen) Hadd Sr. was born January 15, 1946 in Bay City and has resided here all of his life. He was a former member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church. Russ graduated from West Visitation Catholic High School in 1964, retired from Parker Motor Freight as a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters. He enjoyed building computers, general electronics, tinkering, and most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with his family. Left behind to cherish his memories are three children; Fredrick Hadd and Jeffrey and Amy Hadd and Lori and Chris Gragg, eight grandchildren; Justin, Erik, Kayla, Sydney, Ellyette, Lindsey, Danielle and a special grandson; Daniel, his brothers, sisters; Maureen and Duane Henning, Diane and Thomas Zielinski, Sue and Ron Gillis, Colleen Haines, Mike and Diane Hadd, Terry and Timothy Hadd, his mother-in-law; Lorraine Prieur, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Nancy Weeks, Cynthia and Mark Hoyt, Gerald Prieur, Michael and Loretta Prieur, and Renee and Doug Adams, his special nephew; Brian Gomez and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. On August 21, 1965 he married the love of his life Linda A. Hadd and she preceded him in death on September 14, 2012. He was preceded in death by mother and father; Eileen and Russell, his father-in-law; Gerald Prieur, one sister; Eileen Schiedler and one brother; Dennis Hadd. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Monday, November 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish - St. Mary's Church 207 E. S. Union St. Bay City, MI 48706. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick M. Jankowiak with the Rite of Committal in Calvary Cemetery in Kawkawlin. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. Russell will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of the Mass. Memorial cards for the Wishes of the Family will be available at the funeral home.
