Susan Elizabeth McKernan

The daughter of the late Frederick and Marion (Walker) McKernan passed away Tuesday evening December 8, 2015 at The Carriage House of Bay City. Age 68 years. She was born November 8, 1947 in Windsor, Ontario Canada. Susan graduated in 1966 from Northville High School and retired from Ford Motor Company -Sheldon Road Plant after thirty two years of service. She was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church, the O.E.S. Chapter #219, Sharon Chapter # 20, Midland Chapter #121 and the Midland Quilt Makers. She assisted in fund raisers for the Scottish Terrier Club of Michigan and enjoyed cooking. Susan is survived by one sister; Melinda M. McKernan of Bay City, her cousins and her friends. Besides her parents Frederick and Marion she was preceded in death by one brother; Frederick "Rick" McKernan Jr. Funeral and committal services will take place Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Jeff Temple with private inurnment in Victoria Memorial Cemetery in Windsor, Ontario Canada. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Members of the O.E.S. Chapter # 219 will meet at the funeral home on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. to conduct a memorial service. Memorial cards for the Dyslexia Foundation will be available at the funeral home.
