CHARTIER, Thomas L. of Oakley, Michigan, formerly of Bay City, Michigan. Thomas L. Chartier, of Oakley passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 49 years. Tom was born August 24, 1960. He graduated from Western High School. Tom was the former owner of T & N Repair on Midland Rd. and was a member and caretaker of Mid-Michigan Old Gas Tractor Assocation. He is survived by his mother and step-father; Betty and James Chartier-Purtell, his partner and best friend; Cynthia Dankert, his daughters; Nicole (her fiancée Greg Savoie) Chartier and Courtney Chartier, his brothers and their spouse; Brian and Dawn Chartier, their children; Meagan and Kyle, John and Amy Chartier, their children; Jacob and Ethan and Tim and Cindy Chartier, their children; Cody and Adam, mother of his children; Nancy Chartier. Tom was preceded in death by his father Thomas E. Chartier. The Funeral Liturgy will take place Monday, March 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Robert Meissner with cremation following. Private inurnment will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Tom will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
