William T. "Bill" Bateson

Bill passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at his residence at the age of 51 years. He was born September 25, 1960 in Bay City, MI. Bill attended the Apostolic Christian Church. He formerly owned and operated Tri City Motor Transport and Tri City Motor Speedway. Bill had a passion for racing, enjoyed snowmobiling, going up north, watching football, an avid U of M and Detroit Red Wings fan. Bill especially enjoyed watching his son Beau play travel hockey on the Saginaw Badgers. He is survived by his wife the former Lori A. Pashak whom he married June 16, 2000. He is also survived by his children; Lacy A. Bateson, William "B.J." Bateson, Mallory B. Arbour and Beau T. Bateson, his father; Frank Bateson, his mother; Marcia Bateson, his father-in-law and mother-in-law; Dean and Connie Pashak, his sister; Deborah (Robert) Tunney, his brother; Frank "Rick" Bateson, his sisters-in-law: Tamara (Regan) Wieland, Tracy (Curtis) Mowry, Sharell Foco and Deanna Hennessy, and many nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts, his uncle; George (Geraldine) Bateson, his aunt; Janice "Sissy" (Dennis) Curtice, and close friend; Mike Staszak. He was preceded in death by his brother; Robert Scott Bateson. Funeral service will take place Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church. Officiating will be clergy of the church with interment following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Bill will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
