Neumann, William A. KB8PZY Bay City, Michigan (Formerly of Pinconning) Our beloved father, grandfather and brother passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center. Age 99 years. The son of the late Albert and Henrietta M. (Muench) Neumann was born May 26, 1917 in Pinconning, Michigan. He was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pinconning and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Bay City, he retired from the U.S. Post Office as a letter Carrier, was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, National Association of Federal Employees, BAARC, the American Legion Post 18, and DAV Chapter 9, he proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps And enjoyed being a Ham Radio Operator. Left behind to cherish his memories are one daughter Ardine Burgess, three grandchildren, Linda Burgess-Christie, William and Crystal Burgess and April and Shane DeBusschere, eight great grandchildren; Michael Schalk, Alexandria DeBusschere, Timothy Burgess, Jessica DeBusschere, Ethan Burgess, Dannika Christie, Davilynn Christie, Quinton DeBusschere, one brother and sister-in-law; Alvin and Harriet Neumann and his nieces and nephews. On August 25, 1940 he married the former Pauline Ritter and she preceded him in death on October 30, 1992 and then on July 1, 1994 he married the former Amelia Ann Gobrogge and she preceded him in death in 2002. He was also preceded in death by his ex-son-in-law; David Burgess, one brother and sister-in-law; Edward and Delores Neumann and one sister and one brother-in-law; Henrietta and Clarence Rogner. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pinconning. Officiating will be Rev. David A. Jung under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council and the United States Army Air Corps. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday February 10, 2017 to receive visitors from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Mr. Neumann will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to the Wounded Worriers Project or the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center.
