Agnes Marie Bowman (Mason), 91 years old of Bay City, MI passed away at home with her children by her side, December 18, 2018. Marie, as she was known, was born in Bay City in 1927, the daughter of Ida Mae Neview and Edward 'Ted' Mason. She attended St. Joseph's High School and Mercy School of Nursing becoming a Registered Nurse in 1947. She met the love of her life, Harold Bowman, and they were wed in 1950. They were married 63 years. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 4, 2014. In the intervening years she received daily loving support and strength from her son, Bob, her grandson, Robbie, and her son, Eric. Marie was also predeceased by her sister, Eva Groulx and her brother Lt. Col. John Mason. She is survived by her seven children and spouses, Joan, Mark and Martha, Robert and Sue, Bruce and Deanna, Wayne and Jan, Anne and Richard, and Eric; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. She enjoyed a creative retirement, knitting, crocheting, gardening, decorating, traveling to visit her children and sharing time between her home in Bay City and her cabin in Onaway with her beloved husband. She was known for her deep devotion to her family, her great love of her nursing career and her infectious humor. She was an avid Detroit Red Wings fan and never missed watching a game. She was thorough in her work and committed to always doing her best with a determined approach to everything she did. She was also a great listener and supporter of all her children. She will be deeply missed. At the request of Marie cremation has taken place, a private memorial will be held at a future date.
