Alan Scott Botham

Alan passed away at his home on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at the age of 71. The son of the late Lloyd and Delores (Nieman) Botham was born June 19, 1952 in Panama City, Florida. Alan was retired from Landaal Packaging Systems after more than 40 years of service, he was an avid hockey fan and enjoyed Michigan football, baseball and vacationing in Florida, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Alan is survived by his two sisters, Debbie (Jeff) McAlpine and Sandra Gainsforth; one nephew, Derek Gainsforth; two nieces, Ashley (Brendon) Reed and Kristie McAlpine and her husband, David Dwertmann and their daughter, Ella June Dwertmann; one uncle, John (Judi) Nieman and their daughter, Marissa (Brad) Cardon and their two sons, Landry and Beau and numerous other cousins.

A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Eric Kieb with private inurnment following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for the American Heart Association will be available at the funeral home.
