Alan Charles Rugenstein

Alan passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 77 years. He was born on October 11, 1941 to the late Adolph and Nellie (Abdella) Rugenstein. On March 1, 1962 he married Rita Mae Runyan in Oklahoma and were married for 57 years. Alan worked and retired in June of 2003 from General Motors after 34 ½ years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and outdoor activities.
Alan is survived by his wife, Rita; children, Donna (David) Thompson, Trudy Archey, Karinn Underhill and Diana Brown; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jane Rugenstein and several nieces and nephews. Alan was preceded in death by his bothers and sister, Edward (Jan) Rugenstein, Lorraine Karnath and Donald Rugenstein.
Funeral and committal service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev Joseph Atchinson with private burial in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
