Alden J. Kiesel

Mr. Kiesel passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Huron Woods Nursing Center. Age 94 years. The son of the late Gottlieb and Annabel (Bigler) Kiesel was born March 18, 1925 in Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Kiesel served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corps, was retired from GM Powertrain and was a proud member of the UAW. Mr. Kiesel enjoyed gardening, stock car racing, helping on his late brothers farm and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Kiesel is survived by his four children, Sharon (Pat) Lamb, Mary Shorkey, David (Julie) Kiesel and William (Sandy) Kiesel; Five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Romaine Kiesel, brother, Edwin Kiesel; son-in-law, Henry M. Shorkey and a great grandchild.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Huron Woods Nursing Center for their compassion and care and making Mr. Kiesel feel part of their family.
At the request of Mr. Kiesel cremation has taken place. A private inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make a memorial contribution to their favorite charity.
