Alice Marie Mehl

Mehl, Alice Marie (Wackerle) Livonia, Michigan Mrs. Mehl passed away early Sunday morning, June 25, 2017 at Woodhaven Retirement Community in Livonia, Michigan at the age 92 years. The daughter of the late George and Emma (Maibach) Wackerle Jr. was born July 5, 1924 in Kawkawlin, Michigan. Mrs. Mehl was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. Alice married Christian E. Mehl on May 22, 1948 and lived in the Bay City area most of her life. Mrs. Mehl is survived by her son, Rick (Rona) Mehl; seven grandchildren, William (Elizabeth) Mehl, Troy (Kristen) Mehl, Nicholas (Sue) Mehl, Chad Mehl, Terri (Greg) DeShon, Tyson (Estee) Bitzer, Dana (Todd) Fuerst; great grandchildren, Brandon and Justen Mehl, Lilley Mehl, Dyllan and Jacklyn Mehl, Taylor, Corey, Madison and Landon Aquirre, Brendon DeShon, Kade, Alana and Ellie Bitzer, Kira and Kyle Fuerst and three great great grandsons, Karter Aguirre, Declan and Henry Aguirre; two sisters-in-law, Bernice Mehl and Arlene Mehl and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Christian Mehl; three brothers, Clarence, Clyde and Ray Wackerle and two sisters, Eunice Meylan and Lula Meier. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church in Kawkawlin. Officiating will be Clergy of the Church with Committal following in the Church Cemetery. The family will be present at the Apostolic Christian Church on Wednesday to receive family and friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
