Alice A. Trimble-Smith

Alice passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021, eight years to the day of the passing of her husband, Donald R. Smith at her home with her family by her side at the age of 85. She was born July 27, 1935 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Walter and Hulda (Meyer) Brookhouse. Alice enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, boating and watching sports.

Alice is survived by her five children, Tari (Lyn) Detzler, Thomas Trimble, Timothy (Tina) Trimble, Todd Trimble, Tamara Duke, Bob and Chris Zingg; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, two surviving siblings, Wilda "Tootie" Matthews, Aaron Brookhouse and sister-in-law, Vickie Brookhouse and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Alice is preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald A. Trimble who passed away in 1983; two brothers, Howard Brookhouse and Robert "Bob" Brookhouse and sister, Ivanelle Gore.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Covenant Palliative Care Team and to the Covenant Hospice Care Team for the excellent care they gave Alice.

At the request of Alice cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home. We are currently still under the governor's executive order of social distancing and limited to 25 visitors in the chapel at one time. You may experience a wait while paying your respects, face coverings must be worn. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association and Toni and Trish House.
