Alice H. Villano passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Carriage House at the age of 97 years. Alice was born in Bay City on May 8, 1921 to the late John and Anna (Flinckinger) Cavanugh. She married Angelo Villano on January 30, 1943 in Essexville and he preceded her in death on December 24, 2003. Alice was a member of Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church and enjoyed watching soap operas, politics and traveling. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family and her beloved dog Max.
Alice is survived by her children, Chuck (Marjorie), Rosella (Robert) Hatfield and P.J. (Teresa); grandchildren, Tony (Julie), Mike (Jody) and Keith Villano, Karrie (Tony) Marciniak, David and Gary Hatfield, Angela (Jason) Davis, Justin (Amanda), Thomas and Aaron Villano; ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Kelm. Per Alice's wishes cremation will take place following the Mass with private inurnment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. The vigil for the deceased will take place on Tuesday evening at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Villano will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
