Alice M. Young

Young, Alice M. Auburn, Michigan Mrs. Young passed away Saturday evening April 25, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 91 years. She was born August 23, 1923 in South Bend, Indiana. Alice was a member of Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church and attended Ferris State College. She enjoyed reading, golf, interior decorating sewing and was an outstanding seamstress. Left be hind to cherish her memories are three daughters and two sons-in-law; Sharon and Ron Guzdzial of Auburn, Teri and Jim Fry of Plymouth and Lisa Pulley of Jacksonville, FL, three grandchildren; Mandy (Erik) Eldred, Erin (Jon) Goudreau and Samantha (Hardy) Holland, five grandchildren; Evan and Zach Eldred, Sam and Jack Goudreau and Abbie Holland, three sisters and two brothers-in-law; Lillian (Jim) Kent, Eileen (Dale) Passage and Esther Gallagher and many nieces and nephews. On June 7, 1947 she married Robert V. Young and he preceded her in death on June 15, 2001. She was also preceded in death by one sister and three brothers-in-law; Rose Ann (Jim) (LaRocque) (Eugene) Cumley, Tom Gallagher and one brother and one sister-in-law; John (Helen) Scheibelhut. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Staff at Sheffield Bay for the kind and compassionate care they provided for Mrs. Young during the time they cared for her. A Memorial Mass will take place Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church 1008 S. Wenona St. Bay City, MI 48706 for Alice Young and Rose Ann (LaRocque) Cumley. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm with private inurnment in Lakeland Memorial Gardens Lakeland, FL. The family will be present at the church on Saturday to receive visitors from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to Corpus Christi Parish.
