Aloysious Stanley Andrzejewski

Mr. Aloysious Stanley Andrzejewski, of Bay City, passed away Friday morning, August 1, 2014 at Caretel Inns of Tri-Cities, age 94. The son of the late Stanley & Blanche (Malinowski) Andrzejewski, he was born February 6, 1920 in Bay City. Al was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and had previously been a member of St. Hedwig Catholic Church where he served as an usher and was active with the Kiesel Pearls. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Stephen Council #4102 and also the League of Catholic Women and Men. Al was retired from General Motors in Saginaw, working in the skilled trades department. For many years he was a manager at Southwest Little League and enjoyed making stained glass in his spare time. On June 21, 1941 Al married the former Leona M. Janowiak in St. Hedwig Catholic Church and she preceded him in death on August 19, 2010. He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur (Joyce) Andrzejewski and James (Leeann) Andrzejewski, both of Bay City; his grandchildren, Robbie (Krisanne) Andrzejewski, Kevin Andrzejewski, Lori (Kirk) Taylor, Mark (Andi) Andrzejewski and Shelly (Kevin) Nickel; eight great-grandchildren; and a very special niece, Rita Brasie. Al was also preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Kukla. The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Corpus Christi Parish - St. Hedwig Church, 601 W. Pearl St. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Kevin N. Kerbawy. The Rite of Committal will be at Oakwood Mausoleum in Saginaw. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the Parish Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Andrzejewski will lie instate at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
