Jack passed away Sunday afternoon, February 25, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 85 years. Jack was born in Bay City on January 10, 1933 to the late Ignatius and Bernadine (Wojcik) Karamol. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jack worked for 39 ½ years for Valley Manufacturing until they closed and then worked for 14 years until the age of 82 at Kroger. He was a dedicated parishioner at Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church where he worked fish fries and was an usher. He was a member of the Monday Night "Hot Mix" bowling team and enjoyed going to the casino, polka music and playing the lottery. Jack loved taking walks with his grand dogs Mia and Gracie Mae and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Grace; children, Susan (Jay) Wright, Jeffrey (Beckey) Karamol and Kathleen (Kent) Holsing; grandchildren, Andrew (Jelina) Wright, Kristen (Mike) LaFramboise, Michael and Sara Wright, Alexandra (David) Collier, Cynthia Karamol, Jordan, Jared and Jacob Holsing; special great granddaughter, Charlotte Grace LaFramboise; sisters, Virginia Stajkowski and Patricia Richardson; brother-in-law, William Musolf; sister-in-law, Nel Karamol and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother Robert Karamol in 2016.
The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Kelm with the Rite of Committal following at St. Patrick's Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The Vigil for the deceased will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.  Mr. Karamol will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
