Ann M. Krauss

Krauss, Ann M. of Bay City, Michigan passed away early Wednesday morning March 21, 2012 at Caretel Inns of Tri-Cities. Age 97 years. She was born November 4, 1914 in AuGres, Michigan. Mrs. Krauss was the eldest female member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust and was an active volunteer at the church over the years. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Gift Shop at Bay Regional Medical Center and the Economy Center. Ann was an avid Detroit Baseball fan and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by one daughter; Judy Buerkel of Bay City, two cherished granddaughters; Lori (Ken) Nelson of Bay City and Cheryl (Tom) Fryzel of Auburn, six great grandchildren; Katie, Emily and Connor Schrems and Cameron, Jenna and Jack Fryzel, her special nephew and niece; Jim and Charlene Zessin of Bay City and many other nieces and nephews. On January 1, 1937 she married Clarence Krauss and he preceded her in death on November 11, 1990. She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law; James Buerkel and four sisters; Julia Koenig, Katherine Greif, Elizabeth Davis and Helen Bosco. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Marie Hendricks, Rollen and Janet Beckers, her special neighbors and the staff at Caretel for the loving and tender care they provided for Mrs. Krauss. Funeral Services will take place Friday, March 23, 2012 at 12:00 O'Clock Noon at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.. Officiating will be Rev. Paul D. Theiss with a Private Family Committal Service at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 11:00 and until the time of the service.
