Ann M. Matthews

Our loving wife, stepmother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 61. The daughter of the late Thomas Pashak Sr. and Joyce (Sexton) Pashak was born on October 28, 1956 in Midland, MI. Ann was a member of Prince of Peace Parish in Linwood. She loved spending time with her family, summer adventures with her granddaughters, traveling and genealogy.
Left behind to cherish her memories is her loving husband of 20 years, Leo H. Matthews, step-children Leah (William) Fournier, Lee (Alysa) Matthews, her grandchildren, Madelyn and Maya Fournier and Reid Matthews, her brothers, Thomas (Janice) Pashak, Steven (Tammy) Pashak, Edward (Mary Lou) Pashak, her sister-in-law, Joanne (Robert) Anderson, brother-in-law, Howard (Roseanne) Matthews, many nieces and nephews, Thomas III (Jennifer), Adam (Christina), Casey, Brad, Brent (Pamela), Chad (Lauren), Holly (Nirav), Derek (Kristen), Devin and Lynette, also several great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brother, David, her father and mother-in-law, Howard and Helen Matthews and her faithful dachshund, Bernard.The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Parish-St. Anne Church in Linwood, MI. The celebrant will be Fr. Nicholas Coffaro with the Rite of Committal following at St. Anne's Cemetery. The family will be present at Gephart Funeral Home on Sunday, September 16, 2018 to receive family and friends from 2:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ann will be taken to the church on Monday and lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider wishes of the family.
