Anna E. Bauer passed away peacefully Monday afternoon April 19, 2010 at Bay Medical Care Facility. Age 96 years. Anna Elizabeth, the youngest child of Michael and Maria (Burk) Lutz was born on December 24, 1913 in Freeland, MI. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and retired from the former Farmer Peet's Company. She is survived by her children; Roy (Eunice) Bauer, Marlene Lambert and Irene (Ernie) Gradowski all of Bay City, her grandchildren; Peggy Herbolsheimer, Gail (Ron) Campbell, Curt (Ruth) Bauer, Nancy Bauer, Roger Majeske, Steve (Janel) Gradowski and Mike Gradowski, nine great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, one very special niece; Esther (Rudy) Mossner and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Anna was also predeceased in death by an infant son, Robert in 1944, the father of her children; Raymond G. Bauer in 1958, her sisters; Alma (William) Frank, Lydia (John) Kolb, Mary (Adam) Kolb and her brothers; Edwin Lutz, George (Esther) Lutz, Albert Sr. (Anna) Lutz and one grandson; Phil Herbolsheimer. The family would like to extend a special Thank you to the staff at Bay Medical Care facility for the wonderful care Anna received for two months she was there. May God Bless you All ! Funeral services will take place Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church 510 W. Ivy St. Bay City. Officiating will be Rev. John W. Wernecke with interment following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.. Anna will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial cards for Zion Lutheran Church Foundation for the future will be available at the funeral home.
