Rau, Anna Arlene (Lynch) Bay City, Michigan Anna Arlene Rau (Lynch), 87 was called home by her Lord and Savior, on Saturday, May 21, 2016. Arlene was one of five children born to Terrance and Ila Lynch in Carson City, MI on April 9, 1929 Arlene attended Catholic Schools prior to working at Motorwheel Corp in Lansing. She married Eugene Rau on January 19, 1957 and they resided in Bay City. Arlene was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Vincent de Paul Church and volunteered for the funeral dinners. She also helped with the YWCA summer craft show, enjoyed family gatherings, and was an avid card player. Arlene loved St. Patrick's Day and celebrated the day just like it was Christmas. Arlene was a past parade marshal of the "West Side Parade" leading walkers on the route that ended at O'Hares. Arlene is survived by her loving sons, Richard Rau, Alan (Jan) Rau, John (Lori) Rau and Tom (Tammy) Rau, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, her brother-in-law, Gene, along with many cousins, friends, nieces and nephews. Welcoming Arlene home is her husband, Gene, sisters, Donna and Bernita (George), and brothers, Robert (Helen) and Kelly (Alice). A special Thank you to Huron Woods Staff for their special and wonderful care of Arlene when she was with them. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Parish 2965 E. North Union Rd. Bay City, MI 48706. Rev. Fr. John S. Sarge will officiate over the funeral rites with the Committal at Calvary Cemetery. Help celebrate Arlene's life on Tuesday at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. where the family will be present to receive visitors. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Arlene will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
