Tony passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper at the age of 82. The son of the late Chester and Pearl Pawelski was born April 28, 1938 in Rockford, Illinois. Tony was the former mayor of Pinconning, Ombudsman for the State of Michigan, served as a board member of Region 7 Division of Aging and was the first to receive the Dick Hardy Award. Tony enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and football, but most of all he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr. Pawelski is survived by his wife, Ruth A. Pawelski whom he married in November of 1960; three children, Douglas Pawelski, Randy Pawelski and Sue (Shane) Kelley; eighteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Ron (Sharon) Eckinger and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Cremation has taken place and no services are being planned. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make memorial to Garfield United Methodist Church.
