Arlene M. Holsinger

Holsinger, Arlene M. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Holsinger passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 at McLaren Lapeer Region. Age 82 years. The daughter of late James Elmer and Anne Marie (Smith) Haney was born January 20, 1935 in Ellington Township, Michigan. Arlene worked for the State of Michigan at the Caro Regional Mental Health Center, where she retired in 1988 after 31 years of service. She was a member of the S.E.R.A., volunteered for the Friends of the Library, Katie Bishop Animal Friends and was a member of the Women's Club of St. Maria Goretti. Mrs. Holsinger is survived by her husband, William P. Holsinger; children, Nadeen (James) Wolford, Elizabeth (Geir) Hunsbedt, Carol Parent, Nora Kuhn and Jodie (William) Martin; eight grandchildren, Patrick Fox, Andrew Hunsbedt, Alexander Wolford, Shannon (Chad) Kronk, Josh Burns, Eddie (Jessica) Proctor, Nikolai Holsinger and Autumn Martin; several great grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd (Penny) Haney; three sisters, Doris (Gerald) Gross, Margaret Meyer and Ruth Fell and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Holsinger was also preceded in death by one son, Robert J. Fox; one brother, Joseph Edward Heacock and his wife, Pat; one sister, Marion Blackmore and her husband, Richard and two brothers-in-law, Dr. Paul Fell and Richard Meyer. Funeral and Committal services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson with private interment following in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services.
