Arlene M. (Marciniak) Wegener

Wegener, Arlene M. (Marciniak) Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Wegener passed away early Saturday afternoon November 30, 2013 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 77 years. The daughter of the late Leo F. and Genevieve (Jean) B. (Marchlewicz) Marciniak was born March 5, 1936 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. Arlene enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandsons, tending to her gardens, family vacations, playing bingo, trips to the casino, bowling, and dancing the waltz with Al. She graduated from Bay City Central High School and served on the Monitor Township Board of Review for several years. On January 28, 1956 she married her husband of 57 years Allan C. "Al" Wegener who survives her along with one son and daughter-in-law; Steven and Patricia Wegener, two grandsons; Kyle and Gregg Wegener, one sister; Diane (Dale) Hunt, one brother-in-law; Lyn (Jan) Wegener, sisters-in-law; Virley Herbolsheimer and Valrie Eichinger-Korman, Godchildren; Bonnie Gibas and Christopher Hunt, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter; Sharon Wegener, father-in-law and mother-in-law; Erwin and Lydia Wegener, brother and sister-in-law; Ron and Judy Marciniak, brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Earl and Gerry Wegener, brothers-in-law; Armond Herbolsheimer, Art Eichinger and Louie Korman, several nephews and one great nephew. Funeral Services will take place Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Paul D. Theiss with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:30 and until the time of service.
