Armond John Kowalkoski Sr.

Armond, devoted husband, loving father and grandfather passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Sheffield Bay. He was born on April 29, 1929 in Bay City to the late Felix and Frances (Niedzielski) Kowalkoski. Armond proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. In 1952 he married the former Jane Hiltz in Baltimore, Maryland they moved back to Bay City in 1954. Together they raised five children. After his retirement from General Motors he and Jane traveled around the United States together. He also took on the hobby of building and flying model airplanes. Surviving are children, Ann (Wood) Beal, Armond John Jr.(Jean) Kowalkoski, Paula (David) Hompstead, Steven (Suzanne) Kowalkoski and Mary Beth (Tom) Dittmer; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred (Joanne) and Ron (Ann) Kowalkoski; several nieces and nephews. Per Armond's wishes cremation has taken place, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
