Mr. Arthur W. Neigebauer, of Bay City, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at The Carriage House of Bay City, age 91. The son of the late Frederick and Bertha (Lemanski) Neigebauer, he was born on May 14, 1924 in Detroit. Arthur served with the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired in 1973 as Detective Sergeant from the Michigan State Police. Arthur then worked in security for 13 years at Saginaw Grey Iron. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish and The Michigan LST Association. Arthur was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge 88 and was a former member of the Tawas Eagles Aries 2855. He enjoyed camping, golf, deer hunting, woodworking and woodcarving, and spending time with his grandchildren.
On October 29, 1949 in Blissfield, MI, Arthur married the former Isabelle B. Stickle and she survives his passing. He is also survived by his three children, Kent (Marcia) Neigebauer of Allegan, MI, Steven (Linda) Neigebauer of Hemlock and Judith (Mark) Emge of Bay City; six grandchildren, Tim (Beth) Braley, Amy Eno, Drew Emge and his fiancé, Maira Charone, Bethany Neigebauer, Kristin (Jack) Devine and Emily Neigebauer; two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Abigale Braley; a sister-in-law, Joanne Neigebauer; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Arthur was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Neigebauer and Elmer (Annie) Neigebauer.

The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, St. Vincent de Paul Church. Rev. Fr. John S. Sarge and Sr. Virginia Scally, SNDdeN will officiate over the funeral rites followed by Military Honors conducted by the U.S. Navy and the Bay County Veterans Council. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the Parish Vigil Service starting at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Neigebauer will lie instate at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Catherine of Siena Parish.
