Mrs. Barbara J. Ivey, of Bay City, lost her battle with Huntington's Chorea on Tuesday morning, March 18, 2014 surrounded by her family at her residence, age 44. She was born June 18, 1969 in Bay City. Barbara was a very sweet, outgoing young lady who kept her spirit right to the end. She lived an active life, enjoying camping and 4-wheeling and she loved chocolate.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 14 years, Curt J. Ivey; her three children, Krystal Zellmer, Eric Johnstone and Nichole Ivey; a step-son, Mike Ivey; her four grandchildren, McKaila, Neveah, Cayeden and Brayedon; her mother, Bev Dingfelder; her father and mother-in-law, George & Candy Ivey; a brother, Chad Dingfelder & Carlene; a nephew, Christian Dingfelder; and several brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces & nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Clarence W. Dingfelder; a brother, Anthony "Tony" Dingfelder; and her grandparents.
It was Barbara's desire for cremation to take place. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Messiah Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Andreas H. Teich. Family and friends may gather at the church on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
