Barbara L. Merriman

Barb passed away early Saturday morning, August 12, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region, at the age of 75 years. The daughter of the late Norman and Agnes (Herrick) Moros was born March 23, 1942 in Flint, MI. Barb retired from the State of Michigan as a Social Worker. She enjoyed gardening, getting her hair and nails done and loved her dogs. Left behind to cherish her memories are her husband, James G. Merriman whom she married February 14, 1998; her children, Teri Green, Kim Ziegler, Todd (Marti) Praschan , Kristen Franco, Anita (Jim) Lugar, Teri Roby, Sheri (Kevin) Lynn and Shawn (Chelsea) Merriman; her grandchildren, Kayla (her fiancé, Kevin Ritterscamp) Franco, Diego Franco, Steven Surgeson, Trenton and Brett Ziegler, Grant and Blake Praschan and Holly Merriman; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Gail Moros. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Campbell with cremation following. The family will be present at the funeral home on Tuesday to receive family and friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
