Barbara Ellen Pierson

Barbara Ellen Pierson Bay City, Michigan Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother passed away Saturday May 14, 2016 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 81 years. The daughter of the late Walter and Mary Weiss was born January 18, 1935 in Brown City, Michigan. She was an avid reader, had a love for animals and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Left behind to cherish her memories are seven children; Sandra Steiner of Bay City, Cheryl Ann and Ben Russell of Florida, Robert Allen and Debbie Pierson of Oklahoma, Donald Glenn and Darla Pierson of Bay City, Michael Allen Pierson of Bay City, David and Kim Pierson of Saginaw and Timothy Walter and Sondra Pierson of Bay City, sixteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law; Sandy Pierson and one sister; Kathy Jean. Funeral Services will take place Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Chris O'Neil with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home to receive visitors on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for the American Cancer Society in Memory of Barb's sister Kathy Jean will be available at the funeral home
