Beatrice M. Prankienas

Beatrice passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at her residence. Age 91 years. The daughter of the late Michael and Anna Prankienas was born December 5, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Campus. Beatrice retired as a secretary and worked at Dow Chemical Co., Saginaw Steering Gear and the Michigan Department of Transportation. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, working in her yard and in her younger years she enjoyed traveling, some of the places she traveled to were Egypt, the Caribbean and Hawaii. Left behind to cherish her memory are her nephews and nieces: Michael, David (Tonya), Eve Ann (Barrett), Martin (Kelly), Annette, Amy (Kirk), Andrea (Steve), her sister-in-law: Joyce, sixteen great nieces and nephews, one great great nephew. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two brothers; Dominic and Anthony Prankienas. The Funeral Liturgy will take place Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Campus (607 E. South Union St. Bay City, MI 48706). The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick M. Jankowiak. A private Rite of Committal will take place with the family at Mt Olivet Mausoleum in Saginaw, MI. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral home on Monday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Beatrice will be taken to the church on Tuesday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
