Ben A. Ferrio

Ferrio, Ben A. of Linwood, Michigan Age 85 years, passed away early Wednesday morning August 29, 2012 at Covenant Health Care-Cooper in Saginaw, Michigan. The son of the late Angelo and Mary (Ferro) Ferrio was born February 21, 1927 in Monitor Township and has resided in Bay County all of his life. Ben was a member of St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church and the Laborers Local in # 1098. He was a retired farmer, a former Conservation Farmer of the Year, enjoyed working in his garden and was proud of maintaining his yard. On August 29, 1948 he married his wife of sixty four years the former Mildred Feinauer in St. John's Lutheran Church of Amelith and she survives his passing along with two sons and two daughters-in-law; Tom and Suzanne Ferrio of Rhode Island and Dave and Cindy Ferrio of Kawkawlin, two sisters and two brothers-in-law; Barb and Elmer Reiss of Auburn and Margie and Ray Wenglikowski of Bay City, one brother and sister-in-law; Joe and Barb Ferrio of Bay City and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Saturday September 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Andrew Lindke with private interment in Calvary Cemetery in Kawkawlin. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Friday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mr. Ferrio will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church will be available at the funeral home.
