Bailey, Benjamin E. "Ben" Bay City, Michigan Benjamin E. Bailey, 91, of Bay City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2010. He leaves many longtime friends and a life of unconditional love, joy and accomplishment. His warm smile and gentle demeanor could light up a room. Ben was born September 26, 1919 in Gladwin, Michigan, the son of the late Zora L. and Flossie M. (Dull) Bailey. He was the second youngest of six siblings. Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; brother, Virgil; sisters, Doris, Ireta, Ruth, Veral and Wave. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and other relatives. Mr. Bailey was a businessman and active in his church Covenant Presbyterian and of late Westminster Presbyterian. He was also a top notch woodworker, craftsman and former member of the Westside Kiwanis Club, business associations and various civic organizations. On January 30, 1945 he married Kathryn ("Kay") Ann Kehoe, who survives him. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, William and Penny Bailey of Freeland, Michigan; grandsons, Michael of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Ryan of Freeland, Michigan. At the request of the family cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service is being planned for a later date. Ben asked that honorary gifts to be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church or the Donor's favorite charity.
