Berdelia B. Nickel "Dee"

Mrs. Nickel passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the Carriage House of Bay City. Age 102 years. The daughter of the late Henry and Grandline (Fouchia) Miller was born June 11, 1917 in Bay County, Michigan. Mrs. Nickel was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and was retired from Prestolite Corporation.

Mrs. Nickel is survived by her sister, Sharlene (Michael) Howell; six nieces and nephews, Sherry Barratt, Deanne Sebald, Mark Howell, Sue Sebald, Tim Howell and Kathy Howell. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Andrew E. Nickel; one sister, Florence Scherzer; one brother-in-law, Alfred Scherzer and one sister-in-law, Kathleen Dodge.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Carriage House and the Colonnades Assisted Living for their compassion and care.

At the request of Mrs. Nickel cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Mary Ann Helie. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Private inurnment will take place in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Memorial cards for Our Lady of Peace Parish or the donor's favorite charity will be available at the funeral home.
