Bernard J. McNeil

McNeil, Bernard J. Bay City, Michigan Mr. McNeil passed away early Sunday morning, October 2, 2011 at Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. Age 72 years. The son of the late Bernard and Lillian (Dey) McNeil Sr. was born January 29, 1939 in Saginaw, MI. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Mr. McNeil retired from Consumers Energy in 1989. He is survived by his wife the former Marie Sweeney whom he married September 20, 1958. Also surviving are his children; Cindy (Steve) Bohl, Kevin McNeil, Philip (Patti) McNeil and Lynette McNeil, twelve grandchildren; Shawn, Lisa, Kevin II, Andrea, Heather, Matthew, Amy and Misty McNeil, Kristy (Corey) Becker, Sarah Dabrowski, Chelsea Bohl and Shane Hoover, six great grandchildren, one sister; Sue Kodrik, four brothers; Bob, Tom, Jack and Chuck McNeil. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter; Lori, one son; Jeffrey, one brother; Bill McNeil. At the request of Mr. McNeil cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will take place Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Meissner. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. where the family will be present to receive visitors on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass. Memorial cards for wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home and at the church.
