LaPan, Bernice L. (Clark) Bay City, Michigan Mrs. LaPan passed away Friday afternoon October 18, 2013 at her residence . Age 92 years. She was born April 23, 1921 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. Bernice was a longtime member of Fraser Road Church of God, she served in the United States Marine Corps Women's Reserve and a member of Service Women of America. She is survived by her children; Richard (Donna) LaPan of Lewiston, MI, Deanna Mularz of Pinconning, Rosalie Meldrum of Pinconning, Penelope Buczek of Estey, Brenda McKee of Bay City and Lori (David) Wegener of Auburn, fourteen grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren, two sisters; Gloria McGregor and Norma (Leo) Bates, one brother; Herbert Clark, one sister-in-law; Jean Clark and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Floyd LaPan, one son; David LaPan, one great granddaughter; Adrian Belgiornio and two sons-in-law; Richard Mularz and Cletus Meldrum. The family would like to extend a special thank you to McLaren Visiting Nurse and Hospice for the kind and compassionate care they extended to Bernice. Funeral Services will take place Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Fraser Road Church of God. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Johnston. The Committal Service and Military Honors will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Floral Gardens Cemetery Chapel. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. LaPan will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for Camp Fish Tales of McLaren Hospice will be available at the funeral home.
