Berniece S. Douglass

Mrs. Douglass passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Close To Home Assisted Living. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late George and Sarah (Depner) Hill was born January 4, 1933 in Caseville, Michigan. Mrs. Douglass was a member of New Life Missionary Church and enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, baking and using her talents to help others.
Mrs. Douglass is survived by her two children, Charlene (Gary) Gaffney, Don (Jennifer) Douglass; five grandchildren, Kelley (Aaron) Coonce, Daniel (Caitlyn) Douglass, Megan Douglass, Samuel Gaffney and Noah Gaffney;  two great grandchildren, Lucas Coonce and Cassadee Coonce; two sisters, Leona Lazarowicz and Joyce (Keith) Buchanan and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Laverne Douglass.

Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at New Life Missionary Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathan Boyer with private interment following in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to New Life Missionary Church or the Alzheimer's Association will be available at the church.
