Bertha A. Kennedy

Mrs. Kennedy passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Bay City Comfort Care. Age 92 years. The daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Zambo) Nagy was born April 18, 1926 in Fraser Township, Bay County, Michigan. Mrs. Kennedy was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and was retired from Prestolite in Bay City where she met the love of her life, Frederick. She enjoyed gardening, reading and working in the yard. Bertha was very close to her family where she was the matriarch.

Mrs. Kennedy is survived by three sisters, Victoria Lockhart, Elizabeth Stevenson and Shirley LeMiesz and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Frederick whom she married on May 28, 1966; seven siblings, Mary Bishop, Rose Moore, Helen Nagy, Julia Nagy, Alexander Nagy, Anthony Nagy and Robert Nagy; sister-in-law, Irene Kennedy and two brothers-in-law, James and Melvin Kennedy.

Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Parish. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick M. Jankowiak with Rite of Committal following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Kennedy will be taken to Our Lady of Peace Parish to lie in state on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorial cards for Our Lady of Peace Parish or Lewy Body Dementia Association will be available at the church.
