Betty Lou Humphrey

Mrs. Humphrey passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 88 years. The daughter of the late Murl and Alta (Kerpan) Johnson was born May 20, 1929 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. Mrs. Humphrey was a former member of the Madison Avenue United Methodist Church. She enjoyed painting, sculpting, sketching, needle point, cooking and camping, but most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends.

Mrs. Humphrey is survived by five children, John R. Shaver Sr., Scott A. Shaver, Mark J. (Linda) Humphrey Sr., Steven C. Humphrey and Kelly E. (Thomas) Wilber Jr.; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and six nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph James Humphrey on September 21, 2008; one grandson, Lee Roberts and one great granddaughter, Lathesia Gilyard.

At the request of Mrs. Humphrey cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be The Rev Dr. Rhonda Myers. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. Memorial cards for the donor's favorite charity will be available at the funeral home.
