Betty Jean Kaweck

Mrs. Kaweck passed away Monday evening, August 27, 2012 at her residence at the age 83 years. The daughter of the late Harold and Thelma (Lanning) Locke was born March 9, 1929 in Midland, MI. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Mrs. Kaweck retired from the Bay County Treasurers office. She enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children; Melanie Ann Kaweck of Bay City, MI, Colonel David Allen (Tricia) Kaweck, of Honolulu, Hawaii and Holly Renee Estabrook of Midland, MI, her grandchildren; Amanda Kaweck, Kayla Oelberg, Sarah (Matt) Griggs, Jacob Kaweck, Molly Kaweck, George (Jessica) Estabrook IV, Joshua (Tara Kennedy) Estabrook, Jared Kaweck and Jenna Kaweck, ten great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Gerald C. "Beef" Kaweck and one son; Joseph Kimberly Kaweck. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. William H. Allwardt with private interment in Midland City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Kaweck will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
