Betty J. (Richter Russell) LeTourneau, of Bay City, passed away early Sunday morning July 17, 2011 at Brian's House, age 89. She was born June 6, 1922 in Bay City. As a young woman, Betty worked in real estate and also many years at the Shearer Building as an elevator operator. In 1961 she was elected as the second Bangor Township Constable and was Bay County's first woman constable. Betty was a wonderful mother and loved gardening and flowers. Betty is survived by three children, Judy (Keith) Harris of Bay City, Tom (Sharon) Russell of Tennessee and Barb (Percy) Dubay of Bay City; a step-son, Randy (Karen) LeTourneau of Saginaw; grandchildren, Kimberly (Todd) Miller, Troy (Sandy) Houghtaling, Trina (Bernie) Brunett, Tammy (Mike) Little, Brad Dubay, Tom (Sharon) Russell, Debbie (Tom) Sharp, Dawn Russell, Sherry (Dan) Chesney, Ann (Jim Stanley) Russell and Terri Lynn Russell; step-grandchildren, Michelle (Anthony) Graham and Scott LeTourneau; several great-grandchildren; her step-mother, Evelyn Richter; two sisters, Joan Behrman and Cheryl (Al) Fox; a brother, William (Colleen) Richter; two daughters-in-law, Linda Russell and Claudia Russell; and her beloved cat, Misty. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Leon J. LeTourneau on January 30, 2011; her father, William Richter; her mother, Bernadine (Ritterscamp) Bowker; and two sons, Jerry 'Butch' Russell and Terry Russell.
