Betty June Pierce

Betty June Pierce Bay City, Michigan Betty passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Carriage House Nursing Home. Age 70 years. The daughter of the late Virgil and Betty Ruth (Snyder) Julian was born January 25, 1947 in Bay City. Betty formerly attended Visitation Catholic Church. She retired from Bay City Public Schools as a bus driver after 25 years of service. Betty was a long time member of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and doing puzzles, enjoyed hunting with her husband, her dogs, Sassy and Lucy, she was a Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan and didn't miss watching a Nascar race on Sunday. Left to cherish her memories are her sister, Patsy Smith, Trudy (Michael) Metevia, Marguerite Greenlaw, Becky (Gary) Gaff, Joyce (Amos) Wells, Wendy (Joseph) Gutherie; her special nieces and nephews, Kerry (Michael) Doyen, Andrew (Melissa) Wells, Jason (Megan) Wells and many other nieces and nephews; her special great nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn Doyen, Cory Meldrum, Samantha Doyen, Aleigha Doyen, Adeline Wells and many other great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen Pierce; her brother, Dallas Julian; her sister, Virginia (Julian) Adamczyk and her brothers-in-law, Richard Greenlaw and Dean Smith. Funeral and Committal services will take place Monday, May 22, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. at 7:00 p.m. Officiating will be Mary Ann Helie with cremation following. The family will be available at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Wishes of the Family.
