Bruce E. Boman

Bruce passed away unexpectedly, Saturday July 14, 2018 at his residence, at the age of 62 years. The son of the late Kenneth and Dolores (LeVasseur) Boman was born January 30, 1956 in Bay City, Michigan. Bruce was a member of All Saints Parish-St. James Church. He served as an usher at church and was the former president of the Steel Workers Union for Bay County. Bruce retired from Bay County Division of Aging as the head cook and also owned and operated his own catering business. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, working on cars, antique cars, camping and traveling. Bruce was a person who never said no and if you needed anything built or fixed he was the one to call. Bruce proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for twelve years and made the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife the former Linda M. Phillips whom he married June 12, 1976; his sisters and brothers, Nancy (Victor) Wise, Roxanne (Edward) Spiegel, Chris (Kaye) Boman and Jill (her fiancée James Seyuin) Boman, his sisters-in-law, Shelley Boman, Susan (David) Kepsel, Nancy Phillips and Jane (Jeff) Reid; many nieces and nephews and numerous dear friends. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, Gordon Boman and his sisters-in-law, Sally Boman.
At the request of Bruce cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will Rev. Fr. Jose Cabrera with private inurnment in Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home on Saturday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Wishes of the Family.
