Candice A. Schalk

Candice A. Schalk, of Bay City, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at McLaren Bay Region, age 24. She was born March 25, 1989 in Bay City. Candice was a graduate of Bay City Central High School and had worked at Menard's in Bay City. More than anything she was a caregiver to her children and family. On August 20, 2010 Candice married Jake Schalk and he survives her passing along with their two children, Maria and Dominic. Also surviving are her parents, Vernell & Cindy Tacey; her two sisters, Michelle (Joe) Manko and Anna Tacey; a nephew, Nathan Manko; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jeffrey & Linda Schalk; two brothers-in-law, Jeffrey (Michelle) Schalk, Jr. and Jeremey (Amy) Schalk; two nephews and a niece, Joey Schalk, Luke Schalk and Haley Schalk; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Candice's family will receive visitors on Monday, October 21, 2013 from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. At 8:00 p.m. family member Dennis Tacey will lead a Prayer Service.
