Carl W. Marquardt

Marquardt, Carl W. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Marquardt passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Bay Valley House Assisted Living. Age 89 years. The son of the late Fred and Bertha (Badenhoop) Marquardt was born on June 6, 1927 in Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Marquardt was a member of St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church, served in the U.S. Marine Corps, enjoyed watching sports and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Marquardt is survived by two sons, David (Kay) Marquardt and Dennis (Donna) Marquardt; three grandchildren, Jason (Chi-Yong) Marquardt, Lorie Marquardt-Thomas and Anthony Joseph (Jennifer) Bush; two great grandchildren, Paige and Peyton Marquardt; two sisters-in-law, Adeline (Don) Francis and Phyllis Ratz and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Mr. Marquardt was also preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Marquardt; one son, Terry Marquardt and all of his brothers and sisters. Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Andrew Lindke with private interment following at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
