Carl Frederick Wagner passed away after a long battle with cancer at the Toni and Trish House in Auburn, Michigan on April 16, 2024, at the age of 82. Carl was born on October 10, 1941 to the late Ronald Wagner and Leona (Ryers) Wagner. He was born and raised on the family farm in Hampton Township, and lived on the farm for nearly his entire life. After high school, Carl served 3 years honorably in the U.S. Army. For several years, Carl was employed at the General Motors Flint Buick plant but left to start his own business, Wagner Plumbing and Heating, which he successfully operated until retirement. He later co-owned the Tool Shed Bar in Munger, MI and worked as a jack of all trades. His plumbing and heating skills were especially appreciated by his extended family during the holidays, when most years either the dishwasher or toilet broke. Carl enjoyed motorcycles, hunting and time spent with friends drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon.
He was preceded in death by both parents and his sister, Shirley Joan Eyll. He is survived by his daughters, Victoria (Gary) Morgan and Wendy (Ken) Fruauff; his grandchildren, Danyelle (Troy) Wagner-Barber, Joshua Fruauff, Justin Fruauff; brother, Phil Wagner and sister, Kathy (Tom) Diehl.
At Carl’s request, no funeral services will be held. He would prefer that you enjoy a beer and have some laughs about good times shared together. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wishes of the family.
He did it his way. We will miss and love him.
