Carol Jean Bothe, of Auburn, passed away early Friday morning, July 4, 2014 at Professional Assisted Living in Auburn, age 60. The daughter of the late Verne & Marie (Hammerbacher) Bothe, she was born December 1, 1953 in Bay City. Carol graduated from T.L. Handy High School in 1971. She was retired from Health Source in Saginaw. Carol was a member of St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church. She loved to play cards and watch the Tiger's. Carol is survived by three brothers, William (Marsha) Bothe, David (Connie) Bothe and Richard Bothe; her nieces & nephews, Earl Peterson, Jr., Brad (Amy) Peterson, Kim (Mike) Stieve, Todd Bothe & Amy Deacon, Jamie & Shannon Bothe, David (Stacey) Bothe, Tina (Mel) Sherman, Ron Bothe, Jr., Jenny (Mark) Meylan, Richard (Alyssa) Bothe, Jr. and Tyler Bothe; and many great nieces & nephews, cousins and friends. Besides her parents, Carol was also preceded in death by her sisters, Cynthia Bothe and Dianne Peterson; a brother, Ronald Bothe; her great-nephew, Matthew Sherman; and a sister-in-law, Sue Bothe. Funeral and Committal Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014 at St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church, 997 Beaver Rd., Kawkawlin. Officiating will be Rev. Andrew Lindke with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Carol will lie instate at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
