Carol M. Castrodale

Carol M Castrodale, age 90, passed peacefully June 13, 2020.  She was born May 21, 1930 in Minneapolis Minnesota to Eskil and Lily Johnson. Her life exemplified her favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".
Carol is survived by two daughters:   Joy Hebner (Rick), Bay City and Joan Denniston (Patrick), Pomona NY, Grandchildren:   Rick (Krista) Hebner and Tracy Hebner, Great-grandchildren:   Bryan Barringer, Dekota and  Caryssa Hebner, Jaide, Derek and Corbin Curtis, sister-in-law Mary Castrodale, as well as many nieces and nephews, her church family and a great number of special friends.    All of us were incredibly blessed by her unconditional love.
She was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.    Music was a very important part of her life, having taught voice, directing and singing the church choir and Bell Choir and singing many solos, especially every Christmas Eve, singing "O Holy Night".    She also enjoyed singing with the Bay Chorale.  Carol taught adult readers through the Bay County Literacy Council.
A very special thanks to those who have been so tremendously supportive and caring:  The Rev. Dr. David and Patricia Castrodale, the Rev Matthew Schramm, Pastor Linda Williams, countless members of her Westminster family, as well as Gwen, Cindy, Kayla and Maddie from Bay Shores.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Linda K. Williams. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make a memorial contribution to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
