Carol Ann Doyle

Carol passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at her residence with her family by her side at the age of 77. She was born in Bay City on April 7, 1943 to the late Ernest and Jean (Balhoff) Nemode. Carol graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1961 and went on to graduate from Michigan State University remaining a loyal MSU fan. Carol married James "JD" Doyle on June 26, 1965 and were married for 30 years when he passed away on July 3, 1995. She was a member of St. Vincent De Paul - St. Catherine of Siena Parish for many years. Carol was a teacher for Bangor Township Schools for many years and retired in 2005. She enjoyed her yearly vacations to her happy place, Maui, Hawaii and loved watching sports and never missed a game. She was known for her extravagant Christmas celebrations with her family and loved surrounding herself with her children and grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Kelly Fuhrman and Shannon Rhem; grandchildren, Melissa (Josh Krancich) Doyle, Emilee (Glen) Monk, Mallory and William Rhem; great grandson, Noah Doyle; brothers, Bill (Connie) and Thomas (Peggy) Nemode; sister, Nancy (Tom) Hughes; best friend, shopping and travel companion, Marilyn Mellott and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Christopher James Doyle.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at St. Catherine of Siena Parish. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. James Bessert with private burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Please follow all social distancing guidelines at the church with masks being worn at all times.
