Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, Carol, was born to eternal life on March 3, 2024, at her home with family by her side. The daughter of Donald and Mary McPhee, Carol was born November 18,1957 in Saginaw, Michigan. Carol graduated from Sts. Peter and Paul High School in 1976. She graduated from Central Michigan University (1980) then went to pursue her MBA from Eastern Michigan University (1984). She worked happily for 40 years in the automotive industry before retiring to spend time with her family and friends. Carol was an active, participating member at St. Catherine of Siena Parish serving on the finance committee and as an eucharistic minister.
Carol brought joy and reason to the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. Her passion for life and family was beautifully reflected in the many family trips and vacations they had. She loved playing with her adoring granddaughters creating memories that will live on forever in their hearts. “Come on Mimi, let’s do a project” was a constant refrain when Carol was with her granddaughters. Carol's love for the simple pleasures was evident daily as she walked with friends, enjoyed sunrises at their beach home, and spent time outside in the yard.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Bruce Kemmer, two daughters Kristen (Brandon) Geyer and Sarah (Michael) Casper, two granddaughters, Emma and Maggie Geyer, her mother, Mary McPhee, two sisters Kathy (Rick) Longo and Jane (Don) DeRoo, as well as many nieces, nephews, and good friends. She was preceded in death by her father Donald McPhee.
