Carol R. (Kloha) Appold

Mrs. Appold passed away Saturday afternoon, August 30, 2014 at her residence with her family by her side. Age 74 years. The daughter of the late Richard and Lydia (Beiser) Kloha was born August 6, 1940 in Bay City. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust and a member of the Ladies Aid and the church choir. Mrs. Appold worked at Sam's Club and prior to that at McDonald's Restaurant for many years. She enjoyed gardening and watching her grandkids play ball. Surviving are two daughters and two sons-in-law; Angela and Scott Buda, Stacey and Dave Hildebrant, one son and daughter-in-law; Kirk and Barbara Appold, four grandchildren, Adrian and Miranda Hildebrant and Austin and Kasey Appold, two step grandchildren and their spouses; Scott and Tara Buda and Jenelle and Derek Leib, one step grandson; Ty Buda, one sister and brother-in-law; Geraldine and Gordon Gehringer, her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Frances Kloha, Robert Appold, Wilma Zeilinger, Marilyn Appold, Harold and Mary Lou Appold, Floyd and Julia Appold. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Loren C. Appold whom passed away August 28, 2013, her father-in-law and mother-in-law; Benjamin and Ellenora Appold, her sisters and brothers-in-law; Lucille and Maynard Rauschert, Norma and Ronald Peil, Eldred and Delbert Stallings, her brother; Floyd Kloha, her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Matilda and Gerhardt Zeilinger, Ernest Zeilinger, Ralph Appold, Edwin and Malinda Appold and Alice Appold. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Officiating will be Rev. Paul D. Theiss with interment following in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. The family will be present on Monday at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Appold will be taken to the church on Tuesday to lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.
